India beats Nepal in second match of 13th South Asian Games : The Second Game Played between India V/S Nepal today. India got consecutive wins and they are looking very motivated and confident to defend the title.
When asked about the match Anand Pokarde said ” The crowd in Nepal is very pleasing. Kho Kho lovers from Nepal are loving Kho Kho Match a-lot and showed up in great number to support the game. The Nepal team is very strong and we happen to play with them in practice match. So we already knew their strong points and made sure all our team members are prepared for it. At the ground during the match we were all prepared and avoided their strong point. We prepared strategies to attack where the Nepal team was week and volatile.
” When asked about how confident Indian Team is for defending the championship he said “The team has worked hard and we are pretty sure that we will be defending the title and bring home the trophy”
On asking what is the motivation behind these outstanding display of team effort , Anand said ” There is no pressure because country is biggest motivation.. All players set game planing…I am confident we definitely won the championship. “
From Indian Team the players score card is : Balasaheb pokarde played 2.30 and score 2 point, Deepak Madhav aslo plyed 2.30 and score 3 point, Abhinadan took 5 point.
After watching the second win of Indian Kho Kho Team in 13th South Asian Games Prafull Vaidya says “
The basic difference between two teams is their mindset and an approach towards the game.
Indian team is having a good combination of Chasers and defender.When defender remains on the court for more than two minutes he earns two points for the team so here the strategy of chasing team comes into picture as to for how much do they attack a particular defender without providing him/ her breathing time because this is a game of seconds and not that of minute. Apart from defence Indian chasers are master of Dives. Sky or pole which earn them extra points.
More over the knowledge of the rules also play an important role in avoiding fouls.At times we see defender instructing an active chaser about the direction he / she has to take?
Indian players have an an edge over others so far as this aspect is concerned.I have noticed it during the 12 the South Games as well as Asian championship.
This part of the game is taken care of Indian coaches while imparting training before the event.
But one thing is certain Nepal team is improving very fast and has become a force that can’t be neglected.
According to me India should be at number one,Bangladesh number two and Nepal number three at the end of the event? Gold,Silver and Bronze.
